Lovely.

The UCC Engineers’ class of 1983 had a great reunion last night.Meeting in the Wine Vault pub for the first 8 pints, it was great to see the familiar faces as they entered .We asked each other if we were still engineers etc .Spot the Face and Match the Name was great cause for entertainment .We adjourned to Jurys across the road for an excellent meal in their recently refurbished hotel.I would like to commend the chefs for a brochette the size of a Buick.Ray Sexton addressed the assembled masses in a tangible manner, and was followed by the altitudinally-unchallenged Noel O’Neill , both rhetorically splendid.I myself was called upon to say the few words but was uninspired, only having had about 4 pints at that juncture of the evening. We adjourned ,yet again, to the hotel bar and , notwithstanding the attentions of some surprisingly mature ladies in school uniforms, regaled ourselves with tales of differential equations, the excitement of concrete, the conjugation of the verb tango, tangere (to touch) and other such momentous topics into the small hours.More later….

Censorship in the Peoples Republic of China – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

China is acting like a good old fashioned totalitarian state these days – censoring opinion , killing protesters in Tibet…can’t wait for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games when presumably we will see friendly smiling faces welcoming us to the so called Peoples Republic.
